Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Touré, has beaten Nigerian midfielder Mikel Obi and fellow compatriot Didier Drogba to win his third successive African footballer of the year award.
The teary-eyed Manchester City player picked up his award at a gala ceremony in Lagos,Nigeria making it a hat-trick of wins, and therefore emulating Abedi Pele and Samuel Eto'o.
The midfielder later in his speech congratulated Mikel stating that the Nigerian really deserved the prestigious award also he therfore thanked all that supported him through his carrier till date.
